To be a man in my reality is to live as peaceful as I can with everyone. Easier said than done. To be a man today, is to help others when and wherever I can. To be a man today, is to cry when it hurts, to scream when it feels crazy, and to quietly close the door and know that is perfectly okay to shut out the noise of the world.
To be a man today is not to be that childhood people pleaser, who had to put everybody in a category so that he would know how to deal with each and every person. To be a man today is to tell myself to shut the hell up sometimes. To be a man today is to be totally at peace in the quiet. The quietness does not kill me today.
What does it mean to be a man? I suppose the answer is, … it all depends ……
